Out of all the excitment I forgot to make a post for Gilda Radner, I’m so sorry.

notreadyforprimetime:

Part of the original “Not Ready For Primetime Players”, Gilda Radner was beloved for her realness, bright personality, and bursting talent. On this day on 1989, Gilda died of the cruel killer of ovarian cancer. I know someone who died of ovarian cancer and it just rips me to pieces thinking how it just takes people out of the world like that. Gilda Radner inspired many actors, comedians, and just regular people. Her timeless performances in movies, on SNL, at the Second City, and on stage left people breathless whether of laughter or amazement… or both. Kristen Wiig was on all our minds tonight and I bet even Kristen was at least a little inspired by her. I wasn’t alive to see Gilda perform aside from watching reruns on DVD but I wish I did because she is my inspiration too and I love watching her.
